Featured ProgreTech Projects

ProgreTech started as a place to document software projects, experiments, and things I was learning along the way. Over time it evolved into something bigger: a collection of practical tools, educational resources, preservation projects, and personal challenges that combine technology, creativity, and continuous learning.

The projects below represent different sides of that journey. Some focus on software engineering and Python development. Others explore language learning, artificial intelligence, educational tools, and even the preservation of games that risk being forgotten over time.

Rather than isolated projects, each one serves as a learning platform where new ideas can be tested, documented, shared, and improved. Whether you’re interested in programming, Japanese language study, AI-assisted learning, or digital preservation, I hope you find something useful, interesting, or inspiring.

Think in Japanese

Learning Japanese can feel overwhelming when approached through memorization alone. This project documents my attempt to learn the language from a different angle: focusing on how native speakers think, react, and communicate in everyday situations.

The site contains study guides, frequency-based vocabulary lists, printable practice materials, kana learning tools, and structured learning paths designed specifically for English and Spanish speakers.

For learners currently mastering Hiragana and Katakana, the interactive Kana Dojo provides a gamified practice environment with mnemonic-based training exercises. You can either access it via the thinkinjapanese site or you can download a local copy of the website from github to access the dojo without an internet connection.

Think Like Python

Think Like Python is a collection of programming notes, experiments, and practical examples built around real-world software development challenges.

Topics range from Python fundamentals and automation to desktop applications, AI integration, SAP development utilities, and engineering best practices. The goal is to provide practical knowledge that can be immediately applied to personal or professional projects.

Navia Dratp Digital Archive

Navia Dratp was a unique strategy game that developed a passionate following but has largely disappeared from the public spotlight. The Digital Archive exists to preserve its rules, mechanics, lore, and history for future players and enthusiasts.

The archive serves as both a historical reference and a foundation for future community-driven projects related to the game.

Navia Dratp Digital Game

One of the long-term goals of ProgreTech is the creation of a playable digital adaptation of Navia Dratp built in Python. The project combines game development, software engineering, AI experimentation, and digital preservation into a single learning initiative.

Development is fully open-source and serves as a hands-on platform for exploring game logic, user interface design, AI opponents, and modern software development practices.
