Think Like Python: A Guide for ABAP Developers

Edwin A. Rodriguez

Edwin is a Software Engineer and Site Reliability Engineer focused on making complex enterprise systems more reliable by automating manual work and reducing change risk. His work centers on helping high-risk SAP landscapes feel more modern, observable, and resilient.

At Arthrex, he builds custom applications, microservices, AI agents, and automation frameworks that accelerate change cycles and help close DevOps gaps.

Before that, he engineered SAP UI5 applications and backend integrations at Lockheed Martin, supporting large-scale financial transformations including S/4HANA migration work, Central Finance, SLT, Basis-AWS development, and performance under strict audit controls. Earlier roles across Axon, HCL, CSC, and DXC Technology deepened his SAP full-stack development and operations background.

He started his career in ethical hacking and penetration testing, working with tools such as OllyDBG, WinAPI debugging, and VB decompilers, along with early bug bounty-style work for online platforms. While completing his degree, he also worked in web development and as an on-site Math/Computer Science tutor, building a foundation in systems thinking and problem-solving.

Outside of enterprise work, Edwin enjoys tinkering with emerging technology such as AI, VR, AR, and security research.
